Helping to Empower People with Developmental Disabilities

Capri Home Incorporated is an organization providing residential care services to individuals with developmental disabilities.  In the process, we assist persons with developmental disabilities lead a fulfilled and enriched life and maximize their potential. We were licensed in 2000 by the State of California, Department of Social Services, and Community Care Licensing Division and also vendorized by San Andreas Regional Center.

Capri Home was awarded Service Provider of the year in 2004 and is committed to continue to live up to and hold that standard.

Gani Ajani

PRESIDENT

Gani graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor Degree in Social Science (major Political Science minor in Economics). Upon his arrival in the United States and while looking for a job, Gani was led to Residential Care. Early on, he developed a sincere gratification in working with this population.

Gani has been working with individuals with developmental disabilities in various capacities from direct care staff to Administrator for over 30 years.

Before establishing Capri Home Incorporation, Gani worked in care homes, semi-state institution, semi and independent living settings working with individuals with disabilities.  He even ran a Day Program for individual with developmental disabilities for a few years.

“Being a consumer advocate and a true believer in the services that we provide our consumers, after seeing the tremendous progress in the lives of these individuals he has had the opportunity to serve, he was convinced and truly believe that he was able to continue providing successful and rewarding services to the population in which we serve” that was when Capri Home Incorporation was born in 2000.

Lydia Benjamin-Ajani

VICE PRESIDENT

Lydia started her nursing career in New Orleans, LA as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She went on to Louisiana State University (LSU) and Southern University in New Orleans.  She later moved to California in 1989, where she went on to complete her studies at San Jose State University where she graduated with her Bachelor of Science (BSN) and her Public Health (PH) degrees in Nursing in 1994. Lydia has been in the medical/nursing field for over 35 years. Lydia is also Capri Home’s facility nurse overseeing the consumers’ health related issues and ensures that their needs are met. Lydia is also a CPR Instructor in which she ensures all staff are trained and certified per regulations.
